About this gallery

What you will find here

The gallery is arranged in six collections, from suspended installations to single-branch arrangements. Each piece lists the flowers in it and a short note on how it is built, so it can be read as a design idea as well as looked at.

The competitions guide covers floral design championships, the competitive classes at major flower shows, and the judged flower parades and carpets held around the world. Each guide says where and when the event takes place, what entrants make, how it is judged and who has won recently, with links to the organisers' own pages.

How the pictures are made

The gallery pieces are digital design studies created for this site. They are not photographs of real commissions, and they are not entries to any competition.

The photographs on the competition pages are real photos of the events. They come from Wikimedia Commons under open licences, and every one is credited under the picture and on the photo credits page. We do not copy photos from organisers, florists or news sites.

Accuracy

Competition details are checked against the organisers' sites and reputable reports, and each guide lists its sources. Dates and rules change from year to year, so always confirm with the official site before travelling or entering.
