WAFA World Flower Show

The World Association of Flower Arrangers brings its member societies together for a world show about every three years. National societies stage exhibits and enter competitive classes, with demonstrations and workshops alongside.

What it is

This is a show with competitive classes rather than a single championship. Member countries stage exhibits, and some choose theirs through home contests. For Sydney, for example, the UK's flower arranging association held an elimination round for its national exhibit.

The 2027 show is the fourteenth, under the theme Land of Contrasts, and the first held in Australia.

History

WAFA was founded in 1981 by national flower arranging societies including those of Italy, Peru, South Africa and the United States. Recent shows were held in Dublin, Barbados and Jaipur.
