How it works
- Seven to nine finalists reach the final, which in recent years has been staged at a trade show or a garden estate.
- The tasks mix bouquets, floral sculpture, wreaths, wearable pieces and table design. In 2026 they included a suspended vineyard and a coat of arms in flowers.
- The jury, led in 2026 by a Meilleur Ouvrier de France florist, judges originality, technique and finish, how well each brief is met, and stamina over the days of competition.
Why it matters
Many winners go on to compete internationally, and local press report that nearly half later earn the Meilleur Ouvrier de France title.
