How it works
- Floral Creations entries are compact designs shown on plinths or in frames, built to a theme set for the year: colour in 2024, texture in 2025 and a 'floristry laboratory' in 2026.
- RHS judges award gold, silver-gilt, silver and bronze medals, then choose the Florist of the Year from the gold medallists.
- A second category, Creative Spaces, has no set brief and larger displays. It is not judged for medals; the RHS floristry ambassadors pick one exhibit for their own award.
The show
Chelsea has been held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital since 1913. Its predecessor, the RHS Great Spring Show, began in 1862.
